She defeated 2009 champion Svetlana Kuznetsova 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.

For this series, the Phillies are scheduled to have Blanton, Halladay and Lee on the mound. Before two of the Phillies’ aces take the mound the Mets will need to jump on Blanton and try to get momentum in the series.
